Dr. Trevor Nolan, a postdoctoral scholar in the Genetics, Development & Cell Biology Department at Iowa State, is the recipient of two academic awards from the Graduate College. He has won the 2019 Karas Award for Outstanding Dissertations, as well as the 2019 Zaffarano Prize for Graduate Student Research.

After six years in the Department of Agricultural and Biosystems Engineering, Yin Bao’s adventure at Iowa State is nearly complete. He earned his Ph.D. from ISU in 2018, spent the next year on campus as a postdoctoral scholar, and is now about to head to Auburn University as an assistant professor of biosystems engineering.

Karin Lawton-Dunn, the Graduate College’s Career Services Coordinator, received the Woodin CYtation Award last week. The award honors Professional and Scientific employees who have shown exemplary service, a willingness to go above and beyond, and compassion and respect for others at Iowa State University.
